Trisha Garcia Fitzpatrick holds the post of Geologist in the Geology and Petroleum Department in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining, Government of Belize. Mrs. Fitzpatrick started working as a Geologist in the Geology and Petroleum Department in November 2013.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica and a Master of Science Degree in Energy from the Texas A&M University, Texas, USA. Mrs. Fitzpatrick also holds certificates in drilling and seismic surveying.

Geologist
Ashley Jones Middleton holds the post of Geologist in the Geology and Petroleum Department in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining, Government of Belize. Mrs. Middleton started working as a Geologist in the Geology and Petroleum Department in November 2015.

Duties
- Carry out geological mapping and geological studies in relation to petroleum exploration and development.
- Evaluate geological, geochemical, geophysical and well data.
- Assess exploration, drilling, appraisal and development work programs and technical reports in relation to petroleum exploration and development.
- Provide technical advice to the Director on matters pertaining to petroleum.
- Conduct inspections and monitoring of petroleum exploration and development operations.
- Generate geological information for petroleum exploration.
